Single ply roofing

Single ply roofing uses a single layer of durable, flexible synthetic polymer sheets to create a continuous waterproof barrier for flat or low-slope roofs. These are used as the waterproofing weathersheet often within built-up systems consisting of a number of layers including insulation. These membranes are available as thermoplastics (like PVC and TPO) or synthetic rubber (like EPDM), are sealed at the joints for a watertight system, and are installed by adhering, mechanically fastening, or ballasting them to the roof dependent upon the type of substrate.

Popular in commercial and industrial settings, single ply systems are also increasingly used in residential construction due to their durability, flexibility, and ease of installation.

Systems of these types often offer a 15-25 year warranty as standard and can prove to be quite cost effective dependent upon the size of the roof and complexity of detailing required.
